I was a bit reluctant when my buddy asked me to trip to Agra. However, the pearly beauty of the Taj Mahal hypnotized me a lot but I pulled my steps back many-a-times. But this time, my buddy wanted me to be with her on the tour of Agra. So, I backpacked to accompany her with half-heart. We left to Nizamuddin Railway station for Agra tour from Delhi. Meanwhile, I goggled to know came to know that we were heading to Uttar Pradesh because Agra is there.
i will be the morning from OUR Home and dropped at the Hazrat Nizamuddin Station to board the ‘TAJ Express’, a semi high speed train to Agra, which departs at 07:10 hours and arrives at the Agra Cantt station at 10:15 hours. The is the first semi-bullet train started from Delhi and it takes just 200 minutes to reach Agra.
As we travell for 3 to 4 hours, As you arrive at the Agra Cantt station, we took a deep sigh of happiness. After all, we were in the city of wonder-lusting the Taj Mahal. We took a short drive in a auto in just Rs.10. But before that, we felt the rats were running in our empty stomach. The hunger pangs were biting us so we had a hearty meal in Comesum at the station. I must say that the food watered our mouth and it was hygienic too which I did no imagine at Agra Tour.
bought Rs. 10 shoe cover i.e required to wear over shoes while entering main mosque (Shoe cover is available for free inside). We entered beautiful Taj mahal and was really astonishing and magnificent. It is advisable to hire a registered guide while taking this trip. Since we learned a lot on internet and from our history books we didn't hire guide :D . Also only Agra fort was on out list apart from taj mahal to visit so we roamed around comfortably and with patience for 4 hours inside taj mahal. We went there on Saturday so it was very crowded.
Like, it is said, the beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and so does Taj displays various shades any kind of beauty can ever have! The Taj is pinkish in the morning, milky white in the evening, golden when the moon shines. Therefore, ‘The Taj’ surely deserves your visit. It also has lush green gardens in the vicinity which refreshes you much!
Anyhow, we witnessed the majestic elegance of the Taj, mausoleum (the memorial of love) , marvelous bricks’ symmetry, the Agra Fort, Moti Masjid, the Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khas, Jehangir Palace, Khaas Mahal and Sheesh Mahal. All were meeting the exemplary class of exception by architecture.
We left from taj mahal to agra fort around 4:30pm. It was very close like only 2kms away. We took rickshaw for Rs 80. The rickshaw guy was very helpful and he helped us. We took tickets for Rs 40 for Agra fort. taj mahal can be seen from fort. We spent one and half hour in fort and left for Agra Bus Station as our Bus was at 7:30pm. We took auto for rs. 80 and reached in 20 minutes. Bus was already in Station. bus left on time and evening snacks were served.
We reached back Delhi on time at around 10:30pm. We took metro train and left for our place.
Our overall trip experience was great and with quick travel time of taj express it was a sweet deal. I am attaching few snaps of the trip below. You can view whole trip images at my
